Chris reviewed this product on 05/03/16 I love these hybrids. I've recently gotten back into golf after quite a few years away, and my clubs are 25 year old technology. I've never really been any worse at hitting long irons than any other club--I'm just not the greatest golfer in general and have been very inconsistent. A wonderful shot followed by several depressing shots--the story of my golf past. I have been updating my gear, though, in hopes of capitalizing on some of the newer innovations. I first bought a set of Pinemeadow wedges: great clubs! Then I got the EGI hybrids (started with a 5). I've only played a few rounds with them, but I can already tell they are really going to improve my consistency. I can't say that I hit them all that much farther than the irons per se (maybe a bit when I really whack one good), but certainly way more consistently and on target (unless I do something really stupid). One amazing thing about these hybrids is the kind of "self-correction" tendency when hits are a little off. Of course, if the hits are really bad, nothing is going to help, but if they are a bit off, they tend to either hook or slice their way back to the original aim. I assume this is designed into the club with the slight convex shape of the face. But it's just really cool to watch when the ball is in flight. It sometimes even "wiggles" in flight almost like a knuckleball in baseball. Very entertaining, but more importantly, it tends to put the ball back on target at least to an extent and make a shot that would have been pathetic into not that bad of a shot. Compared to equivalent irons, the hybrids certainly get more altitude during flight on average. That's usually a good thing unless it's super windy. In that case, I can dig the driving irons out. But other than that, I'm sticking with these hybrids. Also, they sound REALLY good when you hit them right. I can tell by the sound when I've hit a good one. As for distance, like I said, maybe the EGI hybrids carry just slightly farther. The big thing is the improved accuracy and consistency. I also have a 1 hybrid and 3 hybrid from another company that cost me more than twice as much as these EGI's did. Those other hybrids are nice, but I honestly like the EGI's much more and I definitely hit better with the EGI's on average. In fact, I like them so much, I may slowly replace all my irons right up to the PW with the EGI hybrids, which is saying a lot because the clubs I hit best with are higher loft irons and wedges. And I'll bet I'd hit even better with the higher loft EGI's. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about these hybrids. Great price. They are put together well, feel good in my hands, and fit me really well with the standard shaft length. They are far easier to hit than a long-shafted fairway wood. Someone mentioned that the EGI's are heavy. They are only slightly heavier than my other clubs (by less than an ounce), but I actually find that the slightly heavier head is an advantage. It feels better to me on the swing and on a good hit puts a bit more power into the shot. Overall, the "wow factor" is certainly there with the EGI Hybrids. Great clubs for a great price!
Larry M Autrey reviewed this product on 04/18/16 Until I tried these clubs I was very skeptical. ..... Once I tried them I was amazed. .... The feel was awesome....I couldn't believe that it was me who hit the ball.... Just ordered an additional club to complete my hybrid set..... Can't wait to play again. ....
Jim Lynn reviewed this product on 04/08/16 Needed a club to go 120 yards and m irons were not doing the job. Was looking for a hybrid of about 32 degrees. Borrowed a friends 7 hybrid and hit it great, and at the needed yardage. Purchased this one at a price much lower than the local golf shops. Very pleased a this ha imprved my soring.

Tony G reviewed this product on 09/22/15 I have to tell you I was skeptical about the club I bought (7 utility) until I hit it today. It saved me at least 4 strokes and that's without practicing with the club before I played a round with it. Great job, TG
